Grid system and controls update
Hello Splashy Friends!
Finally back at it with splish now that we've cooled down from the 16th Priate Software Game Jam.
This update has a few changes:
- Grid system implemented for spawning/layout of rowking tasks, cargo, puddles, and leaks
- This helps make things look nicer and also sets us up to be able to create a custom, more complex grid system to overlay additonal logic on how things behave (future update)
- Controls updated to be "select" and "act"
- See game page description for updated controls
- Select (green highlight) is used to take crew members as followers that can be assigned to act on various things around the boat
- Act (orange highlight) is used to assign followers to resolve things/perform actions around the boat
We'll see how this all shakes out in playtesting and make any adjustments as needed.
Known issue introduced:
- Individual leaks can sometimes become untargetable/unassignable. We'll be looking to fix this before moving on to anything new, but it's not necessarily game breaking for playtest
