Project Proteus (Playtest)
Draft submission for the Pirate Software Game Jam 16!
- Move and jump over terrain/obstacles
- Launch into the air with Cannon form
- Slash through vines with Sword form
- Smash through rocks with Hammer form
Controls:
- Movement/regular jumping is instant
- Quick press a form button to use immediately
- Hold a form button to idle in that form
- Release a form button to use that form action
Mouse and keyboard
- WAD - Move left/right and jump
- Shift/Spacebar - Cannon form
- Left-click - Sword form
- Right-click - Hammer form
Controller
- Left stick/d-pad left and right - Move left and right
- Y (top action button) - Cannon form
- X (left action button)/Left trigger - Sword form
- B (right action button)/Right trigger - Hammer form
Keyboard only
- WAD - Move left/right and jump
- Shift/Spacebar - Cannon form
- J - Sword form
- L - Hammer form
Game modes
Start = Sample finite level that can be played in about 1-3 minutes, screen edge will slowly chase you
Practice = Infinite level that does not have the screen edge chase you
Infinite = Infinite level where the screen edge chases you slowly
