Rats, distractions, and docks!

We are getting so close to having the base level finished! Give the current state a try and let us know what you think: https://splashy-inc.itch.io/splish-splashisson

In this update the following were added/updated:

  • Rats now spawn from a statically placed rat hole
    • They target the cargo, steal and item, and try to deposit it in their rat hole
    • Crew can stomp rats to remove them (then they spawn again in 10 seconds from the hole)
      • If a rat is carrying a piece of cargo, it returns to the pile
  • Crew get distracted by the cargo and become a threat you have to resolve
    • Crew will target the cargo after 5 seconds of no assignment (except at the start) or after 30 seconds of uninterrupted rowing
  • There are now start and end docks that tell you when you have left the beginning of the level and reached the end
  • Updated targeting to address priority accoring to the following scheme (higher value, thus priority, as you go further down each list):
