Playtest version with an obstacle
Now that there has been some playtesting on the primary gameplay loop done, we implemented some improvements as well as added another layer on top of the primary gameplay loop: the leak obstacle!
In this current version, leaks will spawn randomly on the deck, and if left alone, will spawn puddles that grow and spread across the boat, negatively affecting the boat speed.
Currently, speed is just a value that defines how fast the ocean scrolls by, but it will eventually be the value used to progress the player through to the end of a level.
As before, this is a playtest version, so it is just an infinte playground. Give it a try and let us know what you think!
New known issue posted:
- For some reason, the highlight material for puddles will not switch to orange from blue
- Not sure why this is happening on the web version, as everything properly highlights orange on the non-web version. Going to ignore it for now, but may have to look into it later...
